Sell and Rent Back

A friend of mine received an eviction notice for unpaid rent. The notice stated that things could be resolved if he paid the back rent, the current months rent, and all attorney’s fees. My friend paid this to the sum total of $1900.00 (the back rent he owed was only $625). Two days later he received a notice from the landlord that he still had to vacate the unit. Does my friend have any rights in this matter?

i have been living with my boyfriend for 3 years in my rental apartment. he owns his own luxury apartment across the road, but refuses to live there! he doesn’t even rent it out, it is just collecting dust while we live and pay rent in a tiny little flat.
i took him to a session of relationship counselling so we could work out our living situation with the help of a neutral mediator.
my boyfriend point blank refuses for us to move into his apartment (it apparently depresses him, and he sees it only as a “nest egg”, not a place to live). despite me offering to renovate, and promising that i will never try to claim half of it (as a de facto), he still refuses for us to move into it. the counselling session- we reached a conclusion- he HAS to rent it out, and we move to a bigger rental apartment.
this is ok i guess, but i would rather the security of a place that is OWNED, not rented.
what should i do?

actually iam working in an office which has been renovated.the old furniture of the boss home was dumped in a vacant flat in front of office.me and my husband are newly married and we are newly shifted in this city.my husband advised me to take that furniture on secondhand rates from boss.i asked bos and and he gave me that without any cut from salary as if free.after taking permission from boss i am feeling very low that i did wrong in my professional life i have done my reputation down doing this.iam very disturb after that.i need to ask that is doing this has gave an wrong impression of my financial satus to my boss.my boss always has treated me like a very high profiled girl and infact before marriage i belonged to a very good rich family but now conditions are different.actually we are also self capable of buying all that stuff but when we saw that furniture waste wemade our mind to take that and to save some money.pls suggest that me boss will be thinking about me that am i a very poor girl?
