!QUICK STRAIGHTENER EMERGENCy?

this is a quick emergency. i have to get a flat iron really really soon, but i still haven’t decided what to get. i did some research and found this conair flat iron that’s below 30 dollars. i am very inexperienced in this area and i need lots of help. i have inserted a link to london drugs (i live close to one) that sell a bunch of straighteners. can you please tell me which one is good, it doesn’t have to be conair, but it must be below 50 dollars. (by the way, i’m thinking of using the flat iron as a curler also, so i’m stressing about which size i should get, is 1-inch any good?) thank you so so so much, time infinity!!!

What is a “leasehold” in the uk?

I have rented a flat from an agency in London. But I saw the same flat under offer on an add for a leasehold flat on the website of another agency.

What are the implications for me as the new tenant? (I’m moving in in two weeks, I haven’t signed anything yet). Does it mean that the person who buys the leasehold can kick me out whenever they want and occupy the appartment? Should I even go forward with the application to rent this flat? I mean, if there’s a new landlord (the person buying the leasehold), are they going to want to live in it right away or will they gladly sublet it (or rent it) to me for a while?

What are ebay motor fees?

Just a quick question because I’m not sure. Does ebay motors take a percentage of the total vehicle price sold? Or do they only take flat fee listing and closing fees? I only see listing and closing fees under their help.

how to protect your money from your family?


I ask this question because my GF is a college student, about to move out of the house and has a mother who enjoys spending her student grant and loan money (which yes is illegal) and pry’s into her mail for banking information etc. So, now that she is moving to her own apartment and will have a secure mailing location I am trying to help her take steps to secure her money from a mom who knows all the right information to possibly access her credit, checking, savings accounts. I am not sure if she and I have even thought of all the ways for her mom to acquire her money, so ideas are very welcome. Thank you.

Exchange bond / Debt management?


Two years ago my partner and I exchanged contracts on a new build apartment off plan for £153,000 with the view to rent it out, to do this we used an Exchange Bond which cost us £2000 as a deposit

Since this happened unfortunately I lost my job and we run into money troubles which left us having to go on to debt management as we had £48,000 in loans and credit card. We already have a house that is worth £160,000 which is mortgaged up to £148,000 and also have a loan secured on this for £15,000. I now work and we have been keeping up our mortgage repayments and also our debt management and manage month to month budgeting for essentials.

We instructed our solicitor to pull us out of the sale for the apartment as we knew we could not afford this as well as our current mortgage and also there is no way we would get a second mortgae with us being on debt management. We have received a letter saying now that the builders of the apartments have claimed £15,000 off the exchange bond company and now they need us to reimburse them for this amount. We are worried to death and cannot see anyway out of this mess.

If our house has no equity in it then I am told that this is safe however we are not sure what to do for the best.

going to view a new flat tomorrow, its part rent and part own, so ill pay half rent and half mortgage. Anybody on something simular to this? How do you find it? Is it beneficial?
