I accidentally kicked the wall a little too strong when my neighbor was being really loud. Now it has 8-inch hole in the drywall. (I don’t think it went through to the other side though) When I move out, how much should I expect to pay out of my security deposit? It it hundreds or a few thousands? I have no idea, I have no intention of repairing by myself. The apartment is moderately well maintained, and it’s at least a few decades old. My room already went thorough a number of residents, and it shows quite a bit of repairing and re-painting. Thanks for your help!

okay…me and my boyfriend of 4 years got a flat together 1 year ago and although we are still renovating it and have not moved in yet we are/were both excited about our future together. we could manage the flat on our wages and have been coping okay money wise until now (for background info im 19 and my boyfriend is 21) recently the company my boyfriend works for have had a overhaul and changed the way they are working, they have told my boyfriend he has to re-apply for his job, along with all the others in his department, and that the wages will be going down by £100 a week, this is awful on our budget but i have asked my boyfriend to apply for this job therefore we can probably scrape by money wise until something else comes up for him (he has another job oppurtunity in late april early may) he always said he was going to do so, today i spoke to him and he said that they had asked him to go in and apply but he wasnt going to, i said that he has to as there is no way we could keep the flat purely on my wages (its impossible!) he said that i am asking him to loose his dignity and that he is not going to apply (in other words he wants to do nothing until the job oppurtunity but by that time we will have lost the flat) i dont know what to do, we are on the verge of loosing everything we have worked for, and our future becuase he wont apply as he says it will loose his dignity. our conversation finished on him saying ‘im not going to apply and if you try to make me you are trying to make me give up my dignity’ i said ‘if you dont apply you are giving up the flat’
i feel like he is saying his dignity is more important that our future and everything WE as a couple have worked for, he never wants to talk about it and when i try it ends in a row, please help me

Two years ago my partner and I exchanged contracts on a new build apartment off plan for £153,000 with the view to rent it out, to do this we used an Exchange Bond which cost us £2000 as a deposit

Since this happened unfortunately I lost my job and we run into money troubles which left us having to go on to debt management as we had £48,000 in loans and credit card. We already have a house that is worth £160,000 which is mortgaged up to £148,000 and also have a loan secured on this for £15,000. I now work and we have been keeping up our mortgage repayments and also our debt management and manage month to month budgeting for essentials.

We instructed our solicitor to pull us out of the sale for the apartment as we knew we could not afford this as well as our current mortgage and also there is no way we would get a second mortgae with us being on debt management. We have received a letter saying now that the builders of the apartments have claimed £15,000 off the exchange bond company and now they need us to reimburse them for this amount. We are worried to death and cannot see anyway out of this mess.

If our house has no equity in it then I am told that this is safe however we are not sure what to do for the best.

Just when you think you’ve seen everything, this guy comes up to ya. He pulls up in his car with a flat tire and ask, “do yall sell used tires?” I said, “yes sir” he then says, “how much are they?” I reply “they run anywhere from $16.00 to $25.00.” He then says “well put me one on there” This was a Sunday morning and I was the only one there at the time because normally it would not be busy on Sunday. Well things got busy quick, I had to deal with being a cashier, full serve pump attentant and puttin this guys tire on all at the same time. I placed a 4×4 block of wood behind his rear tire because the station was on a hill and I did not want the car to roll when jacked up. I finally got him ready and he payed his bill, while I was busy dealing with all the costumers I noticed the guy with the flat trying to back over the block of wood that I forgot to remove. He finely gives up, put his car in park and comes back inside. He then says to me, “hey man I think you put my tire on to tight”

I am in New York State, my 2nd fl tenant wont give us access to fix the leak that is going down to 1st fl tenant. Since we are in the process of evicting the 2nd fl tenant (nonpayment and holdover), we are not on good terms. Is there anything we can do aside from obtaining an access warrant?
