I fell in love with a herstyler straightener I found online

It’s amazing right? beautiful even. But since I had never heard of the brand I’ve been researching like crazy the past few days. I have found either REALLY GREAT AMAZING reviews or ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE reviews on this brand of straighteners.

I’ve read things about the on/off switch breaking off, the straightener not turning on at all after a few months, the ceramic cracking for no reason, the straightener not even working, the ceramic turning brown, etc..etc.. things that would not make you want to spend so much $$$ on a straightener..then a bunch of stories of how “i thought i was still okay because I had my 1 year warranty” and some people ” AND they even offered to do my hair for FREE any time I want!!!” but then they realize that the emails on the herstyler website are fake and the customer service people are assholes that won’t give you your money back. Oh and as for the people who were offered to get their hair done anytime they want…well they realized the people working at the mall kiosk were long gone…

but THEN there’s the reviews on how this is THE BEST straightener, even better than the CHI, how it leaves your hair looking super smooth and pretty and it lasts like that for days even if it’s humid. That it’s way better than any straightener they’ve ever used and it only broke because they’re boyfriend dropped it once but even that was after using it roughly (and dropping it a lot) for 5 years, otherwise it would still be like new AND that they plan on getting a new one but with the same brand…

So I’m stuck. I’ve read so many good/bad reviews, I have no idea what to choose. Plus all the reviews were for Herstyler but not for this exact straightener. I’ve looked and looked and couldn’t find any reviews for this straightener except some girl who said it’s been working great for years…but then again she wanted to sell it to me over ebay for 80$ with a 3 day return policy…3 days? no thank you… The most I’ve ever spent on a straightener is $50, but I REALLY LOVE the design this one has. So I want to buy it but I also want it to last me a few years. What do you recommend?

P.S. Please also if you know of any other straighteners or flat irons that have cool designs on them let me know so I can find them online. If I can find other straighteners with really cool designs (not just zebra stripes or cheetah spots..I’ve seen those too much), then it’ll help me forget about this straightener and move on to the other cool-y designed one that doesn’t have so many mixed reviews.

P.P.S. Oh! I forgot! I don’t have crazy curly hair. My hair is just really thick and long, and gets really wavy and frizzy. I’ve also never been that great at styling my hair so a flat iron is a really quick way to make it look good. Thank u!

Hey guys Ive been saving up a little money for a motor and i have been searching around for a motor for my 1970 chevelle. The 350 that was in the chevelle was bad so im looking for something new. My 350 transmission is fine so that wont be a problem. I wont be taking this motor to the track just as a daily driver…….occasionally i want to have some fine with it as well and burn some rubber. Ive pretty much narrowed it down to 2 350 motors. The first ones is a 2 bolt main……ive been emailing this guy and these are the details he has given me. Both these motors are rebuilt motors.

50 specs;1980 2 bolt block,arp studs on main caps,eagle street/strip balanced rotating assembly,5140 steel rods with floating pins length 5.7″,eagle cast crank with .092 radii on rod & main journals,rearseal & snout for increased strength,kieth black signature series pistons hypereutectic alloy bored 0.030 -5cc flat top,clevit 77 rod & main bearings all standard size,summit harmonic damper with engraved timing marks, comp cam true roller chain,sealed power high volume oil pump 60 psi & arp oil pumpdrive shaft,milodon steel braided dipstick tube,g.m performance parts vortec cylinder heads 170cc intake runner 1.94″ int.1.50″exh.,stock springs .480 max lift,g.m stock length puch rods,crane hydraulic cam & lifters .480 lift int.&exh. 228 deg duration @.050,g.m performance stock self aligning rocker arms 1.5 ratio,edelbrock performer rpm airgap vortec,billet crank pully,i will include a holly 3310 750 cfm vacume secondary carb with a quick change secondary.u will need to purchase a 3310 fuel line,synthetic oil mobil 1 10-w30 or valvoline,6.5 inch powervalve for the carb,i recommend at least a 3k stall converter,i have a huges 21-2300 stall for $100.00 i dont know how it will performe on this moter i never tried it ive used a 4k stall on this moter,i have a tci converter 4k stall with anti ballon plates for $500.00,u will need a trans cooler also.i will sell the moter for $1500.00 with the 3310 carb,ill sell the big block 454 & trans for 1000.00 it does need new freeze plugs,it wont have the power like the 350 lol i ran 13.17 @100mph with a 1.70sec 60 foot with micky t et streets & 4.10 gear in my s10 on motor thats almost the same as my race 468 bbc lol.IN ROSWELL it will run 12.80—–but i can pullit back out if u r serious & have cash.i can also install & tune it for 350.00,but u cant forget about the driveline im sure u have one we will need to change the front yoke.

for your auto u must!!!run a minimum stall speed connverter of 3000 rpm stall or the moter will stall out when u put it in gear.,i would run an aftermarket trans trans cooler,your trans should hold up if it has low miles on it if not i can rebuild yours.any 4 barrel carb will work from 600 cfm to 750cfm weather its double pump or vacume secondary as long as its tuned right,. i use the 750double pump just to be extra safe so the moter wont go lean with nos.this moter also requires 90 octane fuel with 34-36 degres timing.i built this motor in 2004,I DONT BELIVE IN CRATE MOTERS!this isnt my first build,i have been building since 1989,A.H.E. does my machining to my specs then i assemble them.this 355 cid has about 5k on the odo or less,i have driven & raced it in pheonix twice with a 600 cfm vacume secondary holly carb with 72 primary jets& 32 degrease of timing with 90 octane it ran 12.72 @ 105 with a 3.42 gear at that time, now i run 4.10 gears but this is not good for freeway driving just good for dragracing,so a 3.42-3.73 gear would be ideal.u will need headers, i have a set for 100.00,u will need plug wires, distributer cap and roter,an after market coil & moduel are highly recommended,i can provide u with a stock distributer thats in good used shape and that will get u going just add your wires

This engine is fully rebuilt and balanced. It has a two bolt block with rebored cylinders and new pistons, reconditioned rods, new cam bearings, new street grind cam with Comp Cams anti pump-up lifters. The crank is turned to .010-.010 and then polished. New melling oil pump, new chrome oil pan and rocker covers, brass soft plugs, Comp Cams roller timing chain and sprockets. The heads are completely rebuilt with bronze guides and all new seals. This engine is all ready to install and run. This engine will have great power and torque….The engine comes with a flex plate for automatic trans and the proper front damper.

So basically he would sell me the complete motor minus the intake and carbs.

So both motors are gong to cost 1500.00. So my question is………which option would be the best and why? I really appreciate all your time to sit down and actually read this whole thing. Thanks!

I’m considering buying an apartment or flat but i’ve heard that they can be harder to sell than houses. Is this true? Does having other homes in the same apartment building as yours cause a problem when trying to sell?

I have made a lot of bad choices in my life and have fell on hard times before. I now want to clean everything up and live a better life. I am close to $30,000 in debt between credit cards, a repo on my car, evictions, bad checks, medical bills, and other crap I have done in the past. I have thought about filing bankruptcy but I don’t think that will help all my issues (like the evictions), so not sure if it is even a good option for me. The last time I started to clean up my credit I had an unsecured as well as a secured credit card and a loan for my car. I ended up being laid off and not having any savings. So I lost everything (including the apartment I was renting). Because of my decisions I lived in a homeless shelter for 3 months with my kids. I now have an ok job but live pay check to pay check. I always worry about what I would do if I had to move, due to credit issues and evictions it was hard enough to find this apartment.
I can’t even get a bank acct to save money if I wanted to. I have tried to pay the bank back but that I am sure will be a question in itself (they sold it to another company that wont send me a statement, they just want me to send a money order with out a statement). I have though about doing a prepaid credit card (not a secured credit card) just so I don’t have tons of cash on me at all times.
Any suggestions on how to start getting out of debt would be appreciated, or am I just skrewed for the next 6 years or so (it has been over a year since my last evictions or credit anything). I know some of the stuff I did when I first turned 18 well be falling off my credit history, but I doubt that will really help my score much (but I do look forward to seeing it gone). I know I can’t live in this apartment for 6 years as my son and daughter will be too old to share a room, so I need help with the evictions problem (I may put that in a separate legal question).
If I had a secured credit card before and defaulted on it would that prevent me from getting another? Also would it help my credit situation at all having a secured credit card? I know I can afford to send about $300 off on the 1st to process the card, but that is money I usually have saved in my purse for expenses in the middle of the month, so I would have to charge those expenses. Would running the card up to the max credit each month be bad IF I pay the entire balance each month? Maybe after a few months with out having the cash in my pocket I wont have to use that money as much and the card wouldn’t be ran to the max, but because I live so close to pay check to pay check it is hard. I am also in school and will be done in about a year and a half (so better job then). Any advice would be appreciated. I will be 25 in 6 weeks and I want my life back and bad (ok horrible) credit is stressful and in a way has prevented me from doing anything to better my situation.
I know my credit issues are my fault and I have learned my lesson, but now I want to know if there is anything I can do about it.
I also forgot to mention my credit score (almost a year ago) was from the high 400’s to the very low 500’s (the highest was 516).
Last bit of detail for now is some of the debt that is on my credit is reported two or three times by the same collection company. I did file a dispute but it doesn’t seem that the dispute went through. Would getting these duplicated debts off my report help any? I guess my opinion is no matter what I do i will have bad credit and nothing short of having $30,000 and pay it all off will help.

Rent Back

My lease will end at the end of september (on the 30th) but the landlord found somebody to rent the flat before that date starting at the 5th of August. The rent is due at 2nd of every month and I paid in advance as usual for the whole July.
My question is, if I moved out at the 5th of August on what basis I should pay? Should I pay as usual in advance for the whole August and then he will return back the amount after discounting the extra days of rent? or Should I pay only for the period from 2nd of August till the 5th by dividing the monthly rent on 30 days and then multiplying it by 3 or there is another way they usually consider in this case?
