they have counter top repair kits or tubes of the stuff… you might need to buy couple tubes to match color. stuff dries hard and sticks pretty good. not much prep other than flatting down the raised edges with something hard and round.. not sure if hd or lowes carries the whole kit but i know they have soild color back next to the countertops

there are waxes you can rub in. any good hardware store should help. Just give them the best sutable colour!

Depends on how deep they are….i used to do apt maintenance….if you havent left a hot pot, and burned the crap out of it or something like that….i say you have nothing to worry about…….im assuming its a formica top

try some very fine sandpaper, the higher the number the higher the grit. or fineness

are they deep gouges?? you can clean them up and put super glue in the scratches to make them less noticable.
