How do I make a cosmetic repair to my apartment door?

I’ll be moving out of my current apartment soon and during the course of opening and closing the bedroom door over carpet without clearance, the bottom of the door is starting to “splinter”. More specifically its the super-thin wooden sheet on the surface of the door thats begining to come off in random patches. Is there an easy fix that might come close to the same texture/height?

Wood filler and paint. That should do it without any problems.
Its a sheet of veneer that is laid on top of the door. I think your best bet is to try to use wood glue to glue the piece down. Then get some wood filler to bring the level of the broken piece up to the level of the rest of the door. If the door is painted you will need to let the wood filler dry- sand it - and repaint the door
If your door is dragging on the carpet, do yourself and your purchaser a favour. Cut between 1/4 to 3/4 of an inch off the bottom and sand it smooth. You will stop the door from dragging and correct your problem at the same time.
