How many times do I have to request repairs to my apartment before I have the work done myself?

three maintenance workers have been by none of them know the cause of the leak in my kitchen. I am tempted to hire a plumber and charge it back to the landlord.

you need to get the managements approval first. if you pay for it yourself and think they will reimburse you you are going to end up fighting with them and probably be out the cost of the plumber.
