If it can’t be repaired, and not look like a repair, you will get stuck for the whole bill. It is called negligent to let an animal destroy property.
Hi KC
well you don’t have to replace the whole place, You can have a carpet person repaire only the spot. it may cost around 300 or less.
I do have cats as well, You would need to get a cat scracher and put it next to were the carpet was completely torn. cats most of the time like to find only one good spot for them to used all the time.
Hello KC. You can have it repaired for about $65.00-75.00 Or less. The carpet layer will need to remove some of the carpet from a closet (not a walk in closet)
Go and find a carpet similar then the one that is in the house and replace that closet with that piece. You should be good to go. Best of luck. Oh BTW. Make a cat pole and under the carpet before putting it on sprinkle some cat nip under it. Then sprinkle some on top of it as well. Every time the cat starts to scratch any place else give her/him a slight pat on butt and say not then place them on the poll. Then pet them and say good kitty on the poll. This has worked for me several times.
Before you do anything, you’d better speak with the landlord, He may have a different idea then you on repairs. When I managed, We insisted in replacement, the way it was when you moved in. The law started the unit had to be as was, the city law so. That’s your answer I’m afraid.
