should i report that a child molester is a maintenance repair man for our apartment building?

our apartment building maintenance man is a registered sex offender…his charge was having sex with a person under 13 years of age and he is on lifetime parole and has to register as a sex offender the rest of his life…should i call the police?…should he be able to have access to the building and apartments?…would i be breaking any rules or laws by notifying all the residents here and posting fliers up on the walls of the building that there is a child rapist working in our building and apartments?…can i let this scumbag have access to a building full of children and feel right about myself if i don’t do something about it?…
i checked a few minutes after i posted this question and i am surprised by the answers…yes, i checked the state police website and he is a sex offender that is registered…even worse his charge is offending a person under the age of 13 years of age…i want to warn the other residents of this monster…i feel that if i don’t and something happens i am to blame…please read the question before you answer…this is very important…i need someone with a clear understanding of what i am talking about….thank you!!!…

call the police, report him, then call the building owners, notify them, then pay him a visit with a baseball bat and see what happens!
Even though the guy is a sicko, even child molesters need jobs. If he’s not out molesting children, or at least putting children in danger, then you can’t call the cops on him.
If you don’t like him being your maintenence guy, you should move.
Before you go get yourself arrested for harassment, you need to check the sex offender website for your state. If he is registered and has his address posted then the cops know all about him. In that case, you need to butt out. However, if he is not listed then he either is not a sex offender like you claim or he is and has not registered. In that case you had better be damn sure you are correct in your facts before you go make the guy’s life a living hell.
If he is not a sex offender and you go make his life hell, he can sue you for all you are worth.

If you put down exactly what is on the register, you cannot get in trouble. That register is their for the public.

HE CANNOT BE AROUND CHILDREN AT ALL.
By law he must be registered and the po;ice must know his whereabouts. He is forbidden to be around any children and must clear out immediately if a child appears. Talk to the police about his presence then tell one parent. That is all it will take to get the word out.
Report him. He should not be in a position where he has access to children.
There is one very important piece of information you are not including in your question which would be helpful in order to give you the proper answer: what state is this in? I am sure you realize that all states have rules but go about them in different ways.
