Unfurnished means you supply everything.
Part furnished means your landlord will provide floorings and blinds/curtains.
Fully furnished means you'll get everything including furniture, kitchen white goods etc.
Check with the landlord I would expect that unfurnished means you will have to supply carpets, curtains, fridge, washing machine, all furniture.

Why don't you just phone the owner and ask what they are including in the flat? When we let out unfurnished, we will include these things if needed, but sometimes people have a lot of 'white' goods of their own and don't want them. If the kitchen is being redone a lot of the goods are fitted in so come as standard. The last place we let had, cooker, fridge-freezer, washing machine. We re carpeted through out and put up curtains. Hope this helps.

A friend of mine used to work for GA estate agents, he said that unfurnished properties at the bare minimum contain the 3 C's (Carpet, Curtains, Cooker). This certainly used to be the very bare minimum required from landlord when I rented. Anything extra is a bonus. If your landlord is decent you may be able to negotiate some sort of deal for other things.

There is no legal minimum, but I expect there will be a fridge freezer, washing machine and oven as they are re-furbing the kitchen. I have just moved into an unfurnished house and we had the above including a dishwasher. The best thing to do is contact the landlord/agent and ask them what there will be.

In the UK, unfurnished means just that.
You have to supply all the funiture, including Cooker, Fridge and washing machine..
If it was part furnished, they would supply those things!!!

You need to talk to the landlord or agent straight away. Unfurnished means just that and wouldn't necessarily mean kitchen appliances. These days the ovens are usually built in but not always the washing machine and fridge. I rented an unfurnished flat and it had the oven but not the other white goods. I could'nt afford to buy them and had to ask for the landlord to put them in for me thus increasing the rent somewhat.

Check with them as soon as possible so you know exactly what you are getting, there is no minimum requirement as far as I know (apart from safety of course, make sure you see the gas and electricity safety check certificates and ensure there are smoke alarms fitted)

Have you signed a contract yet? Most of the info would be in that.

Good luck, I'm sure it will be fine.
