Since you are applying to rent as opposed to credit it is unlikely to affect your application. The agent or landlord can, with your permission, carry out a status enquiry with your bank. This will show if you can afford the rent and likely outgoings based on your current account history. A credit check per se is just not relevant.

Different Landlords have different standards.
If you are current on your accounts, no delinquency, and have a good credit rating, then the mere fact of these debts will not disqualify you. Particularly if you have a good rental history.

Not really but if the landlord runs a credit check he may request a larger deposit or rent in advance

As long as you’re keep paying your credit cards on time, you wont have a problem, because it means you’re a credit worth person.

If your credit history shows late payments or too much debt for your income then yes. A landlord needs to know you can afford to pay the rent and not cheat him
