I rent a car and the company took my deposit because they found an hole in the back seat is it legal?

I RENT A CAR IN VILNIUS, ST. ASANAVICIUTES NO 17 FROM COMPANY CALLED ” KAROLINISKIU MARTONAS” ID NO 125051263. I CHECK IT OUTSIDE IT WAS WITH NO SCRATCHES TNEN WHEN I RETURNED THE CAR THE MANAGER OF THE COMPANY FOUND A LITTLE HOLE IN THE BACK SEAT THAT WAS FIXED BY STITCHING BEFORE.
THEY CLAIMS THAT I DID IT, AND TOOK MY DEPOSIT 200 $ .
IS ANY WAY TO GET THE STOLEN MONEY BACK ?

Unfortunatly uless you inspected the car first and made note of it, then they can claim you did it and keep the money.
Whenever renting a vehicle for any amount of time, always have THEM check it and write out any defects.
unfortunately it is legal for them to do that,,i know it isn’t right,,but they knew you couldn’t go to court,,i have heard some horror stories on car rental,,what has happened to your money is the manager probably put it in his or her pocket,,a couple of rental companies have gotten caught doing that,,but yes as far as legal they can do it,they know you cant fight it,,this will eventually cost them more than they will ever gain from it,,you might as well write it off as a learning experience,,i hope this help,s.
