(UK) (roughly) How much money do I need to have to rent a flat?

Will i need to pay a deposit, first months rent, insurance and all that sort of stuff? If so how much? What are your experiences?

say your looking at a £300pcm 1bed flat, your be looking at £400-450 deposit, first months rent of £300. insurance is up to you (i guess just look at a home insurance website)you shouldnt have to but may have to pay for electricity and water connection charge because the flat should already have that and costs for that depend. tv licence which is around £50. and i think thats about it.
