Even though some people will give you advice on what is legal or not, the fact is that if the landlord is aware that you are breaking your tenancy agreement he doesn't need to prove it in a court of law. After you have lived there for 4 months he can give you 2 months notice and replace you with someone who doesn't take liberties. Better for you and for your landlord if you keep to the spirit as well as the letter of your agreement. You should check with your landlord. In the UK you are allowed up to 6 adults in one house without permission.
