Tenancy agreement question (UK) 2?

My lease will end at the end of september (on the 30th) but the landlord found somebody to rent the flat before that date starting at the 5th of August. The rent is due at 2nd of every month and I paid in advance as usual for the whole July.
My question is, if I moved out at the 5th of August on what basis I should pay? Should I pay as usual in advance for the whole August and then he will return back the amount after discounting the extra days of rent? or Should I pay only for the period from 2nd of August till the 5th by dividing the monthly rent on 30 days and then multiplying it by 3 or there is another way they usually consider in this case?

isn’t this the 10th of August? what are we even considering anything here?
you were paid until the 2nd of Aug, he already had a new renter, seems to me you would not owe anything if you were able to get your belongings out by the 2nd.
Calculate your rent by multiplying the monthly rental by 12, divide by 365 then times by 3.
Dont pay the full amount as you may not see it again.
You work out the rent you pay by the day i.e. monthly rent x 12, then divide this by 365, then x by the days - in your case from the 2nd. till the day you move out. If you phone the agent he would tell you, as he would need to know, to go and check the inventory. Make sure you leave the place clean and tidy, so you get your deposit back. Take a metre reading of gas & elec and notify them you are going and the council tax. If you haven’t already moved, it’s now the 10th Aug so you would need to pay rent from the 2nd - 11th if you moved out tomorrow.
