I am living in a 1 bedroom flat which i rent privately in London/UK. We also have a 1 year old baby living with us. When we rented the place we didn’t have the baby and 1 bedroom was sufficient. Now having baby brought the requirement for extra room. So we decided to move to a 2 bedroom flat. We found the new place and posted our 30 days notice for intention of moving. Apparently Landlord receive the letter after a week or so. Since then she believes she has the right to to come in to the flat whenever she wants with possible new tenants to show the flat without even asking our permission. When we complained to her she said we were very unreasonable and it was in our contract to let people in anytime without notice to see the place. And also when we also mentioned that it wasn’t true. She threatened us with not paying our deposit for the flat back. She says that when we moved in to flat we didn’t have a baby now we do and it is against the contract and she has right to not to pay the
