sorry i dont know the UK, but if there is a dept of social services in the uk i would start there. good luck
go too you local housing service, all counter areas have one, they should be able to let you know what i s available too you.
try:-
citizens advise will also be helpful.
try:-
You could try getting a crisis-loan from your local Jobcentre plus if you can prove you can’t pay for a deposit any other way and are going to be homeless. You should get one
You don’t have to be on benefits to apply and I think you can do it online.
You can go private but you will nee a deposit like two months up front and the landlord will have to accept benefits like housing benefit.
The other option is to fill in application forms with your local housing associations and council.
Just google local housing associations in your area, phone than and fill in the application forms.
They will give you a number. With the number that they give, you can apply online every week when ever they update their systems or just call in and fill in a request form.
You will get priority be cayuse you have children so don’t apply for crap areas just wait for the better areas to appear.
for advice you could try your local citizens advice bureau and maybe even your local MP (both of which should be free)
you can also try relate (i don’t know much about them, i know they do things like marriage counselling, which isn’t really what you want, but they might be able to help you if your marriage isn’t working too, they may be able to advice you on what to do next etc)
you could also try your local council and see what they have to say, if you have a low income they would be able to give you housing benefit for help with the rent and also help with the deposit too
also maybe you need to get a lawyer or help from a solicitor
do you and your adult children work? If so, you can easily find a place, by registering with estate agents/letting agents. If not, ask the council, then get jobs
