I am going to live in Australia and at the moment I have no idea how long for…. possibly forever.
I have kept a property in the UK and want to give my dad power of attorney so that he can sort out anything to do with this property or maybe sell it for me in the future.
How do I do this and how much am I lookin at it costing??

It’s not that much. I gave my children power of attorney when I made my will. I think the whole thing cost about £82.
A simple job to be done by a solicitor
Local solicitors Ask for ENDURING power of attorney. Make sure its stamped by solicitors to make it legal. About £80.
first of all you dont have to grant him power of attorney for this task. power of attorney grants power above and beyond this single task.
second of all, better to get your answer of this question from a real estate broker or a lawyer. they can advise you on the title or deed on the property so that he is empowered to act on your behalf with regards to the property.
