Their was a line in there when carlton is talking about the carpenters and Will sarcastically leads him on.

I’m learning English. My English text book says “The couple put up their flat for sale.” and the text book says it means the couple are selling their apartment.
But an apartment means rented rooms. Why they can sell the rooms?
In my country you can’t sell rooms you are renting from somebody because they are not yours.

When I got home he had left the doors wide open and my cats were outside. I went in the door and said what’s going on? The repair man was standing at the top of the stairs.

ive just agreed to rent out an apartment that is currently being renovated, it is having everything re-done includuding the kitchen. We needed somewhere right away and agreed to take before it was done (risky i know) but now we are worried that we wont get anything at in as they said it was unfurnished.

We know it will have an oven, but should we expect a fridge and washing machine? is that a minimum requiremen? is there any legal minium?
