Last year my credit was challenged in such a way that I could not get a home loan. I was default on a student loan, I had two car repos in 2003 & 2004. My credit was horrible. I am on the road to recovery. I make a decent salary (six figures), I pay my bills on time, yet, I still cannot get a home loan. I’m sick of living in an apartment. What must I do to secure a home loan in this perilous mortgage market?

My bf is in debt. We’ve been together 6 yrs. He pays child support for 2 kids which will be done in 3 more yrs. He’s got a court loan for about $6,000 and a credit card bal. of $4200. He doesn’t make good financial decisions, he just bought a Harley for $3000 because “it was a good deal.” He keeps saying after his support is done he’ll have more money. His mother has money and he says after his support is done she’s going to give him part of his inheritence. He and I both currently rent. I’m really getting tired of the apartment life. I don’t feel comfortable buying a house with all of my money, having him move in along with all of his kids stuff. Does this mean I’m selfish? I don’t feel I should pay part of his bills from him previous marriage. He’s getting eatin up w/monthly interest. I love him, but really wondering where I’m going to be w/him down the road. Help..

it seems that it is cheaper and more flexinle to rent then buy on credit. if u dont plan children, u r better off renting for ever, right ?

Just before Christmas, stress at work, long hours and ?vodka and Red Bull, and cannabis gave her a short psychotic breakdown (muddled thinking, delusional ideas etc.), during which she conceived a passionate love for a man she met at her local pub. He has 2 children by a former wife, lives with his parents, has been in jail twice, is shorter than her, is (according to my other daughter) remarkably unattractive, and has an IQ approximately equal to his shoe size. But to be fair he seems amiable enough.

She seems now mentally OK again, and is off her medication (too early say her doctors). Her infatuation survives - possibly because he was ‘there for her’ during her recent episode. Living alone maybe she’s lonely? She has low self-esteem.

All her friends say he is not the sort of guy she normally goes for. Most have remarked that they feel uncomfortable around him, as do I. I believe the attachment is a remnant of the psychosis, and that she is storing trouble for the future.
What am I asking? Is there any way I can improve the situation?
What was he in jail for? Apparently a) Throwing his former wife’s lover downstairs and b) possession of a knife.

I wanted to buy an apartment 6 months ago , but since I had a bad neighbor in my previous place, I leased the place that I was going to buy so in the mean time he bank approves me for the loan and purchase the place , I paid 9k downpayment and paid secure deposit for the lease contract , I paid rent for almost 6 months, but I did not get approved for the loan , now I have to move out from this place but the seller is not paying my downpayment back. Where can I go and claim?

Quick Property Sale

I am the trustee of a trust that owns a flat and the other trustees and I wish to mortgage the flat (there is no mortgage at present). The loan would be on a buy to let basis and would meet all the criteria normally required. I have asked around and no broker has been able to find a lender - do they exist?
