I have a list of repairs I need to make to my car that I could do myself for $150 in parts tops, but I can’t do it at the apartment complex I’m at. I just moved here so I don’t know anyone that could lend me their garage for a few hours, and the estimate from the shop is $700. Any ideas on a legal way to repair my car somewhere. FYI, It’s all tire & brake work….no fluids. I live in the city, so I’m not going to have any luck finding a back road or abandoned lot where I won’t get caught.

I live in a small one bedroom flat in Melbourne’s inner south-east (Armadale) that was built in the 70’s. It has a very small bathroom/toilet that I’d like to renovate along with other improvements for future resale.
I reckon the bathroom space would be better utilised if the bath was replaced by a shower cubicle. But I’ve been told that would reduce the resale value a lot (mainly because females prefer baths).
Do you think that only having a shower would affect the resale value of the flat very much?

Our house was built in 1977 in the original retirement area of Arizona. Since or home is just over 30 yrs old there is work that needs to be done…desperately.

The house was made by a couple who designed a 2 bedroom 1 bath house with a detached garage that stands 2 stories high. They both need desperate renovating. The upstairs apartment (above the garage) needs it. The main house needs it the most with some serious renovations as well. Pipes are old, our bath tub drain collapsed a few years back and we had to remove the tub to replace the drain pipe. The bathroom is smaller than most closets or laundry rooms.

The flooring is linoleum (kitchen and bathroom) and carpeting through the rest of the house. The kitchen cabinets are old and aren’t space efficient. The counter top is in bad condition and not leveled, due to the settling of the house I assume. The living room carpet is sooo old it is flat to the floor and looks like indoor outdoor carpet. I found some carpet remnants along the side of the road about 3-4 years ago which we cut to fit the high traffic areas. What can we do when there is no money?

I appreciate you thoughts and ideas on this situation. This is an old but beautiful house. There is a large barrel cactus in the front about 30ft tall and a staircase that leads to the second floor of the apartment above the garage from an old mine in Mesa.

I have repeatedly put in requests for repairs in my apartment since I moved in 4 moths ago. My A/C took almost 2 months to fix and my dryer, my dishwasher and my larger stove top hasn’t been fixed since day 1. I know in my lease contract I have the right to end my lease which I WANT to do. But I don’t know what to do from this point. Can anyone help me or guide me on what I should do next?
