Tenancy agreement question (UK) 2?

rent flat uk
My lease will end at the end of september (on the 30th) but the landlord found somebody to rent the flat before that date starting at the 5th of August. The rent is due at 2nd of every month and I paid in advance as usual for the whole July.
My question is, if I moved out at the 5th of August on what basis I should pay? Should I pay as usual in advance for the whole August and then he will return back the amount after discounting the extra days of rent? or Should I pay only for the period from 2nd of August till the 5th by dividing the monthly rent on 30 days and then multiplying it by 3 or there is another way they usually consider in this case?

Renting House/Flat in UK?

rent flat uk

Hi you all,

I’ve decided to move from sharing a house with a cople of friends to moving into a studio or 1 bed house/flat and contemplating the possibility of co-habiting with my partner.

I would like to know how much it would cost overall to get a flat. Since I’m not moving until July estate agents don’t give me much info as they say it is too soon, so I would be extremely grateful if you guys could give me some info on the following:

Lets say….If the Apartment is £650 pccm- Approx how much would the deposit be? Should I assume a month’s advance rent too? Credit checks & Admin charges?

Thanks A Lot

Rent Back

I am renting a flat with 4 months left on the lease. I want to leave now to emigrate to the UK, but my landlord is saying I have to pay the next 4 months rent, even though the flat will be empty. My lease does not have any clauses in about about terminating it early.

As I see it my options are:
a)Pay the 4 months in full.
b)Not pay anything, move to the UK, and risk being sued and having my credit rating ruined in the UK
c)As (b), but try and do a deal with them eg, I pay them two months’ rent and we make another agreement that releases both of us from the lease. Although they are now saying they would not consider this, I think they will find it attractive once they are faced with trying to sue me, and possibly not getting anything. Also, this will allow them to relet as from now, so they will end up with double rent income for a period if they rent it out quickly.

If you go to an estate agent and see something to rent that you like, is it normal practice to negotiate on the price? Or is the price quoted never negotiable?

Repossession

I am looking to move to the Whitehaven / Egremont / St. Bees area to start a new job. What is the easiest way to find accommodation? Are there adverts in local papers, for example? I have tried a couple of letting agents and these are expensive and require a lot of advance rent. I am hoping to find a flat or small house to rent for a long time.

I’m 14, for a novel I’m writing about troubled teens, I just wonder if it’s possible for two 16-year-olds with part-time jobs to rent a flat or a room in England, without the consent of parents but with the consent of an older adult sibling. Big thanks in advance.
OK, I’m confused, Lu Lu and Tigger gave completely different answers, which one’s right?

De Facto Visa to the UK?

rent flat uk

I’m Canadian and would like to live in the UK with my boyfriend. I would appreciate only serious answers from people who have/have had one in the past.
1) Would I be covered by the NHS, would I have to pay a fee per month/year, or would I just have to pay for anything I may need out of my own pocket? ie; If I got pregnant..
2) “In terms of immigration to the UK, settled status means that a permanent resident is living here lawfully with no time limit on their stay.” My partner can BE a British citizen, right? Born & raised here?
3) Can the visa be extended, if we have not married in that amount of time, or can I get an Indefinite Leave to Remain?
4) If we wanted to rent a house/flat out, can it be rented out to my name?
5) Do I have to have a certain amount of money in my possession before they will let me come to the UK on a De Facto visa? ie; On a Working Holiday Maker’s Visa to Canada from the UK, you must have at least 500£
6) Cost of the De Facto Visa? Thanks for all of your help
I would actually appreciate as much information on this as possible.. Any documents or anything..?
Oh, also about the social insurance number.. I know that’s not what it’s called here.. National something number or something, I’m pulling a blank at the moment.. How long does that usually take to get?

Oh, and how do I go about even applying for this visa? Should I visit the British Embassy when I get back to Canada, or can I just find the paperwork somewhere and fill it out? Will the British Embassy even talk to me? Do I have to make an appointment?

I am so sorry for all of the questions, but I REALLY want this information so I can take care of it ASAP.
My partner was born AFTER 1983..
